"Many of the women I see have been told their iron is ‘a bit low’ for years — but no one connects it to how they’re actually feeling. When supplements aren’t enough, IV iron can be the missing piece. The key is confirming it’s truly the right fit for you.”

Next-Day Appointments Available
Once your NP consultation is complete and you're confirmed appropriate, we work to get your infusion scheduled as quickly as possible — often the next day.

How soon can I get my infusion?

Quickly. If you have current bloodwork and your NP consultation confirms IV iron therapy is appropriate, your infusion can often be booked as soon as the next day. We work hard to get you in fast — because we know how long you've already been waiting to feel better.

Why isn't my oral iron supplement working?

It's usually not the dose — it's absorption. Many women can't absorb oral iron properly due to IBS, Crohn's, celiac disease, or low stomach acid. IV iron skips the gut completely. It goes directly into your bloodstream and starts working right away. No waiting. No wondering if it's actually getting in. Your practitioner will confirm whether IV iron is the right next step for you.

Can low iron cause hair loss?

If you're pulling more hair out of the shower drain than feels normal — you're not imagining it. When iron is low, your body rations what it has for survival first. Hair follicles lose out. The result is more shedding, thinner hair, or growth that just seems to have stopped. Your practitioner will look at this directly during your consultation.

What are the side effects?

Most women feel fine. Some notice mild tiredness or a slight headache in the first 24 hours — it passes on its own. Serious reactions are rare. Someone is with you the entire time. That's just how we do it.

What does it cost?

Start with a free iron consultation call — no cost, no commitment. If you're a good candidate, the next step is a $165 virtual consultation with our licensed NP. She'll review your history and confirm whether IV iron is appropriate. If you proceed to an infusion, the clinic fee is $200 plus treatment supply costs. Treatment supply costs are often covered under extended health benefits — share your insurance details on your free iron consultation call and we’ll check your coverage for you. When you leave after your infusion, we provide a bloodwork requisition to retest your levels in 4–6 weeks at no extra charge.

What if I don't have a family doctor?

No problem at all. You don't need a referral or a family doctor to get started. Our NP guides your care — from consultation through follow-up bloodwork requisition. If you don't have recent bloodwork, we can order a requisition so you can get tested at any LifeLabs or Dynacare location near you. Just book your free iron consultation call and we'll guide you through every step.

Do I need a medical assessment?

Yes — IV iron is medically assessed, and that’s a good thing. It means a licensed professional has reviewed your bloodwork and confirmed whether it’s appropriate for you. You don’t need a referral to get started. Your NP assessment covers the clinical review and the plan for next steps.

How long does the infusion take?

Most infusions take 60–90 minutes in our private clinic space at 3363 Yonge Street, Toronto.

What happens after my infusion?

You leave with a clear next steps. Before you go, your practitioner gives you a bloodwork requisition — no extra charge — to retest your iron levels in 4–6 weeks at any LifeLabs or Dynacare near you. There's no guessing and no chasing anyone down. You'll know exactly when to go and what to look for.

Is it covered by OHIP or insurance?

OHIP does not cover iron infusions at private clinics. However, the cost of the iron itself is often covered under extended health benefits. Share your insurance information on your free iron consultation call and we'll check your coverage for you — so you know exactly what you're looking at before you commit to anything.
